Privacy Act Requirements

All information submitted to ERO is collected and protected under the provisions of the Privacy Act. By submitting this information, you are consenting to our review of your information and allowing us to share information within ICE on your behalf.

Paperwork Reduction Act

The public reporting burden to complete this information collection is estimated at one hour per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the necessary data, and completing and reviewing the collected information. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number and expiration date. Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this collection of information, including suggestions for reducing this burden, to ERO at ERO.INFO@ice.dhs.gov.

Routine Use(s): Your information and the information you provide in your inquiry may be shared internal to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for appropriate action. The information you provide may also be shared with the United States Congress and other appropriate government agencies for the purposes of investigating and coordinating a response to your inquiry. The information you provide may also be disclosed as generally permitted under the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. § 552a(b), pursuant to the routine uses published in the Department of Homeland Security system of records notices, DHS/ALL-016 - Department of Homeland Security Correspondence Records and DHS/ALL-029 - Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Records.
